Summary

THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY DESIGNATED FOR MANDATORY TELECOMMUTING UNTIL JULY 5, 2021.

King County International Airport (KCIA) is looking for a Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist (Fiscal Specialist III) to join our dynamic team! This position will give you the opportunity to showcase your skills in a variety of areas, including: financial transactions, customer service, data maintenance, workflow processing, and teamwork.

Scope of Job Duties: To be considered for this opportunity, you must demonstrate skill and ability to:

  • Process Accounts Receivable transactions for KCIA in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Research and summarize specialized or technical information from varied sources, which requires selecting the most appropriate material and the use of spreadsheets and/or database applications. Verify and reconcile data discrepancies;
  • Research, enter, and audit claims data including generating reports;
  • Provide excellent customer service while handing sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner;
  • Participate with/lead others in workflow documentation and improvement;
  • Draft, summarize, prepare, proofread, and edit documents, correspondence, specialized terminology, and established procedures.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a background in performing accounts receivable transactions and tasks using a sophisticated financial reporting system such as: Oracle EBS, J.D. Edwards, etc.;
  • Are comfortable managing and prioritizing a high volume of diverse assignments and multiple competing tasks with a strong attention to detail;
  • Are proficient in the use the Microsoft Office including higher level skills in performing financial transactions using Microsoft Excel in your daily work;
  • Are eager to learn about King County accounts receivable functions and processes;
  • Thrive working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Are flexible and comfortable in a change environment and excited to learn new skills and implement new processes to continuously improve services;
  • Have knowledge of aircraft terminology and federal regulations (highly desirable).

Temporary Telecommuting Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed primarily remotely, at least through July 5, 2021 in compliance with King County’s telecommuting mandate. It is possible that the work will be primarily performed remotely on an ongoing basis after July 5, 2021. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a County worksite. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.
