Ref #: 9528 How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) As part of the Customer Experience unit, Airport Customer Service (ACS) and Cargo (CGO) directly impact Deltas customers throughout the travel ribbon. That said, the largest component of a customers experience is our employees. Protecting both our employees and our assets to ensure the employee experience is exceptional and that every employee returns home to their family in the same condition as the left in, is the #1 priority at Delta Air Lines.
The Co-Op Ground Safety and Security provides support for improving the health and well-being of our employees as well as protecting our assets such as aircraft and ground support equipment
Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with one of the below schedules:
Spring 2022 - 1st rotation Fall 2022 - 2nd rotation Summer 2023 - 3rd rotation
Summer 2022 - 1st rotation Spring 2023- 2nd rotation Fall 2023 - 3rd rotation

Responsibilities include:
Foster an environment where safety is a core value by providing a just culture focused on reducing safety incidents (both on the ramp and in the gate houses)
Conduct project pilots to collect data for the purposes of evaluating the latest safety technology
Support major damage and occupational incident investigations
Assist our ergonomic professionals in rolling out initiatives designed to reduce musculo-skeletal injuries
Analyze data, review metrics, set up dashboards using data visualization tools, and provide recommendations to help minimize risk in the operation
Set up standards with Ground Security and help improve passenger security risk
Proactively lead safety initiatives and solutions throughout the business What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Working towards a Bachelors degree in Aviation Safety, Ergonomics, Kinesiology, Occupational Health and Safety, Athletic Training, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics or other related field preferred. Must be available for three alternating semesters
