Providence is calling a Specialty Scheduling Coordinator - Urology (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Professional Plaza Portland in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Specialty Scheduling Coordinator - Prov Urology who will schedule office and hospital services for patients including scheduling appointments with external providers or ancillary departments to ensure coordinated care for patients.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the referral management process; which includes responding to provider referral calls, determining and relaying benefit information as it relates to referral processing
  • Obtain pre-certification/authorization from insurance companies, including extensions requested by physicians
  • Schedule and coordinates patient appointments and medical procedures with internal and external providers or ancillary departments/clinics as identified by provider with appropriate documentation
  • Operate multi-line telephone system; routes calls and responds to general inquiries

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • High School Diploma -OR- GED -OR- equivalent education/experience
  • Two (2) years working experience in a medical clinic, office setting -OR- administrative setting
  • Extensive and excellent customer service experience

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • EPIC -OR- other electronic medical record (EMR) experience
  • Specialty clinic experience
  • Working knowledge of CPT & ICD10 codes
