Position Description
Performs responsible, specialized duties within a unit of a department. Responsibilities include activities that require knowledge of departmental procedures. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. May supervise clerical employees.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Perform duties quickly and correctly, while striving for high standards of performance and accuracy.
  • Represent Texas Tech University and the Office of the Registrar with professionalism in manner and appearance.
  • Demonstrate friendly and courteous behavior with all customers internal and external, as well as with team members within the office.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisor to resolve issues related to academic records.
  • Provide all student academic record service requests including transcripts, registration, verifications, and withdrawal.
  • Assist supervisor and co-workers with special duties as assigned.
  • Provide academic records processing service for the institution as directed by supervisor.
  • Prepare and image student records daily.
  • Respond to customer requests for information by phone, email, or walk-in customers according to institutional and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act policy.

Required Qualifications
High school plus 3 years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer service and data entry.
