Job Description
Responsible for providing customer service to library patrons and completing library circulation projects as assigned.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesProvide customer service to library patrons including in-person and over the phone. Assist in keeping library material in order on the shelves. Learn and use the library circulation software. Follow and explain Library Policies to patrons.Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Preferred QualificationsPost high school education/training in a related field preferredMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust have Basic computer skills, excellent Customer Service skills and Communication skills. Ability to clearly explain information to others. Work well with people (both co-workers and patrons). Push loaded carts, as well as lift and shelve materials. Perform well in high stress situations. Follow written and oral instructions. Perform substantial repetitive motions of the body or its parts. Demonstrate adaptability to changes in shifts and assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties Special InstructionsPlease submit a resume and cover letter.
