Job Description
The Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant collects and processes intelligence, plans force protection, conducts threat vulnerability assessments, and is trained in photography, digital intelligence systems, biometrics, forensics, and digital media exploitation.

Job Duties:
  • Employs conventional and unconventional techniques in intelligence collection and processing during unilateral, combined, coalition, joint, interagency, and multi-national operations
  • Plans, organizes, trains, advises, assists, and supervises indigenous and allied personnel on collection and processing of intelligence information
  • Establishes intelligence nets, capable of establishing personnel identification through fingerprinting and other means

Requirements:
  • Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant have very demanding physical requirements. Good eyesight, night vision, and physical conditioning are required to reach mission objectives via parachute, land or water. Special Forces Intelligence Sergeants master the ability to professionally brief intelligence matters to not only Operational Detachment Alpha teammates but to the highest levels of military authorities.
  • Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant are required to attain a Top Secret Clearance, to be trained parachutists, and in some cases, qualified Combat Divers. In order to serve as a Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant, you must be currently serving as any of the four Special Forces Enlisted Military Occupational Specilaties.
  • Those who want to serve must first take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.
