EDUCATION:High school diploma or GED preferred.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):Must obtain specialty certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within one year of employment (CRCST).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Previous healthcare experience preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous Central Services experience preferred.

Compensation: Starting at $12.00
DEFINITION:Under the supervision of the SPD Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Technicians are responsible to identify, issue, and charge for patient care supplies and equipment. SPD Technicians are also responsible for reprocessing goods from the decontamination phase through the terminal sterilization process.EDUCATION:High school diploma or GED preferred.
