Job Description

In the US SPAX is sold through leading home improvement centers, hardware and fastener distribution chains, and in a growing number of lumber and building material dealers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Initiatives

  • Work with leadership to ensure overall sales and marketing channel strategy is clearly defined and executed.
  • Support and help with regional key account and major account approach.
  • Execute successful regional integration of training, pricing, and marketing initiatives with any new products or sales activities.

Sales and Territory Management

  • Support the selling efforts of our customers and ABC-U.S.
  • Perform sales & marginal analysis within the territory. Evaluate, forecast, and develop a strategy with key initiatives for the territory.
  • Identify potential and qualified prospects.
  • Gather market intelligence information (pricing/rebate programs) for ABC-U.S. Keep ABC-U.S. apprised of emerging markets, market trends and market needs.
  • Set up, operate, and demonstrate all company products; execute orientation program for all new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy at customer, consignment, and remote warehouse locations (if applicable).

Communication

  • Develop, maintain, and support close working relationships with the customers and prospects.
  • Plan, organize and facilitate periodic meetings with customers to communicate product, market, and program information.
  • Develop, maintain, and support relationships with regional manager of all OEMs, distributors, and specifiers within the assigned region.
  • Develop and maintain open and effective lines of communication with independent reps, fellow Regional Managers, sales support staff, and our leadership.
  • Create awareness for critical information such as sales trends, new customers, sales issues with management and operations.
  • Communicate with accounting about terms, credit issues, new customers, programs.
  • Conduct monthly reporting and communication

Administration

  • Weekly customer call reports and monthly activity reports.
  • Weekly review of overall and individual customer sales and margin.
  • Monthly review and submittal of sales and expense budget.
  • Annual comprehensive budget for Sales/Margin forecast and personal and territory expenses.

Basic Job Functions:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – LBM manages and actively promotes the sales of the company’s products across a defined geographical area. The RSM ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through the development of strategic accounts and relationships with their respective key customer personnel, as well as through the identification, qualification, and acquisition of new accounts. Also assists in gathering market intelligence and with all sales activities.

This is a remote position; regular travel is expected within the assigned region. ABC offers a competitive salary, monthly car allowance, monthly cell phone allowance, and a company credit card provided for travel and expenses. Must reside in city or surrounding area.

Experience:

  • Required 4-5 years of experience in management
  • Industry background in sales, marketing, customer relations, strategy, and project implementation
  • Experience in the construction fastener and building materials industry, specifically residential, is preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of business/management principles and sales mechanics: analytical, organizational, budgeting, resource allocation, and human resources.
  • Exceptional listening and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment, critical thinking, decision-making ability in the spirit of teamwork.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, dedicated work ethic, and high integrity.
  • Self-directed with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
