Software Engineer, Senior

As a software engineer, you’ll solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you with the skills and experience to build data processing applications from vision to production-ready system.

As a software engineer on our team, you’ll work directly with your customer to overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like cloud infrastructure, SQL/NoSQL databases, container-based microservices, and pub/sub data interfaces alongside open source frameworks and tools including Kubernetes, Nifi, Kafka, SQL, MongoDB, and Hadoop. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using agile development life cycle practices, you’ll build deployment enhancements to a Space domain data warehouse. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• Experience with database interface API’s for SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of programming languages, including Java and Javascript
• Ability to integrate into an existing software development or deployment team using open source software standards and technologies
• TS/SCI clearance
• Associate’s degree and 12 years of experience in computer science or engineering, or Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in computer science or engineering

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in DoD Space Domain Awareness (SDA)
• Knowledge of Kafka event streaming platform, application containerization technologies, open-source automation for building, testing, and deploying applications
• Ability to monitor applications using containerized applications through Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) technologies.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 135,000 to145,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
