Software Development Engineer - Test

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and knowledge of Python/Perl or other related programming languages and scripts.
• Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development
• Demonstrated ability to own, design, lead and implement testing strategies for complex distributed systems.

We are looking for a results-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test, who will play a critical role in delivering a best in class voice shopping experience to our customers. In this role, you will define and implement a mature and robust automated testing practice in support of our Flagship Customer Experiences, Alexa Exclusive Deals and High Velocity Events like Prime Day. You will also have the opportunity to scale testing best practices across Alexa Shopping, influencing partner teams and technology leaders. You will work with a team of talented and experienced engineers as we continue to push the envelope and innovate with the latest technologies.

This is a mid-level role with the scope and opportunity to grow into a senior role. Your contributions will have direct visibility to senior leadership and will be key to raising the quality and customer experience bar for voice shopping.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an SDET role
• Experience with software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Dealing well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of internationalization and localization processes, tools and technology.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
