Job Description

We are an NYC-based company seeking a bright, energetic production assistant to join our award-winning digital media company specializing in educational children and family content. Under the direction of our Social Media team, the Production Assistant will be responsible for developing content, drafting copy and scheduling posts for our social media accounts, blog and website.

The ideal candidate is a strong copywriter, savvy social media user, is willing to pitch in on whatever task is needed, has a “no job too small” attitude and is hyper detail-oriented and organized. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop) and WordPress is preferred.

Candidate must be comfortable using MS Excel/Google Sheets to organize information, have excellent written communication skills and a strong grasp of English grammar. A background in film or video is helpful; script writing or creative writing skills are a plus. Some work experience post-college is preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of video production with a global brand in the kids and family space.

Required Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with social media metrics and analytic
  • Experience working in video and/or audio production
  • Experience teaching or working with children

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with a trial period of three months.

Compensation: $17 per hour
