YOU MUST LIVE IN CALIFORNIA TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB.
We’re organizing an afterschool enrichment program for small groups of wonderful low-income public-school students and have been asked by those kids for a mini-course in Sign Language. The sessions last 45 minutes and start at 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, once per week per student for three or four weeks, offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. We are working with multiple schools and grouping by grade ranges between the 2nd and 8th grades. Sessions are ONLINE via Zoom through this school year, then there may be an in-person option for the summer. We’re looking for a qualified teacher or paraeducator who knows how to sign and can joyfully teach this skill between March and June. If you love to teach, want to introduce students to sign language and its importance, are available as described, please apply now. We will be making our selection quickly. Please include your background signing, any teaching/tutoring experience as well as interpreter experience. We will need to know your contact numbers, the city in which you live, and your hourly wage expectation.
