What You'll Do

As a Shuttle Driver for the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, you'll be assisting employees (primarily) and patients between different parts of the medical center, offices (on & off campus), and the Clackamas Town Center Transit Station. Customer service plays an important role in this position.

The successful candidate will always conduct themselves in a professional manner and engage our customers in a pleasant and appropriate manner at all times.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Responsible for operating one of our shuttle buses within the assigned pick up and drop off points throughout the Kaiser Sunnyside campus as well as offsite locations.

Customer Service – Maintain a pleasant demeanor, always greet people when boarding the shuttle and wish them well as they deboard. (i.e. – Thank you, have a great day!)

Company cell phone - Answering calls and responding to rider requests from security, Kaiser employees, Kaiser patients and potentially other people needing shuttle transportation.

Maintain accurate records of ridership on an hourly basis.

Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle and request needed supplies through the supervisor.

Operating a wheelchair lift for those riders that require assistance.

Always follow the lead of Kaiser security and report anything out of the ordinary to your supervisor.

Remember the position is a representative of both REEF Parking and Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center.

What We Want From You:

At least 18 years of age with a valid drivers' license

A satisfactory passing of a motor vehicle records (MVR) check

Good writing and oral skills

Prior customer service experience is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Occasionally move around the property by walking for some periods of time.

Will remain in seated position for extended periods of time while operating a motor vehicle, aka the shuttle van.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed mainly in a shuttle van and in outdoor environments

Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather.

Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
