THE OPPORTUNITY:

Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

We are in search of a new shipping specialist! This team member is responsible for securely packaging items, and finding the most cost effective and efficient way to ship our products.
The key is to exceed our customers expectations! To get the products in their hands as quickly as possible, meeting all promise dates, while never sacrificing quality!
This position will be expected to work with another individual closely, as mostly a two-person team.

The products you will be handling include refurbished laptops, PCs, monitors, monitor stands, other misc. computer parts in small inventory, and other misc. electronics.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: *

• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.

• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.

• Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.

• Prepare documents, such as work orders, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Report when supplies are low. i.e. cardboard, bubble wrap, tape, etc.
• Operation of our cardboard box-making machine.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Provide assistance or direction to other team members.
• Utilization of walkie-talkies to reach other departments & be responsive when needed
• Help to brainstorm the best ways to ship larger, unfamiliar items as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Ability to lift up to 70+ lbs.
• The ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time without fatiguing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• The ability to pass a drug test/background screen

• The ability to speak/read English fluently
