Job Description

In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Biscuits are made by hand each morning. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that’s all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.

The Shift Supervisor role at Carson Valley Chick-fil-A, leads operational shifts with excellence by motivating the team, organizing daily set-ups, running breaks, monitoring employee morale and executing operational tasks.

  • Address employee behavioral issues with proper documentation
  • Monitors ongoing training of Team Members
  • Frequently meets with assigned Director, be open to/request feedback pertaining to overall performance.
  • Oversee all operations and accountability within your particular shift
  • Ensure employee alignment with restaurant mission & core values
  • Executes food safety assessments
  • Lead Team Members, encourage them, move them around for the sake of the team and for an individual’s development.
  • Start each shift with a team huddle: encouragement, goals, focus for the shift.
  • Run breaks and ensure Team Members feel cared for.
  • Work a min. of 35 hours per week in the restaurant
  • Maintain availability to be able to work at least 5 opening/closing shifts on a weekly basis.
  • Always models servant leadership
  • Brings energy and enthusiasm to the organization.
  • Create set-ups (assigning positions for the shift)
  • Help build a “bench” (more than enough proficient Team Members) for all positions, and a “leadership pipeline” (future Team Leaders, Shift Supervisors, etc.)
  • Lead the shift, set the tone, anticipate problems and address before they happen, problem-solve, delegate.
  • Seek input from Directors, other Shift Supervisors or Team Leaders.
  • Shift Supervisors should be “off-station” during the shift. Working a position should only be done to help the team get caught up.
  • Communicate relevant information to other Shift Supervisors via Slack.
