What you’ll be doing:


The ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Architect role is accountablefor all aspects of the technical solution and implementation from initiationthrough closeout of Cask customer ITOM / CMDB projects. This person leadsonsite and virtual technical requirements gathering workshops with Caskcustomers to capture all requirements necessary to implement the solution onthe ServiceNow platform. The ITOM / CMDBArchitect provides consultative guidance to the customer and designs theoverall solution based on ServiceNow and industry specific best practices.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Serve as primary technicalpoint-of-contact for projects
  • Act as key interface between theCask development team and the customer
  • Define technical solutions forarchitecture and design that are aligned with clients’ business problems andServiceNow ITOM / CMDB implementation best practices
  • Co-lead requirementsgathering workshops with Business Functional team members to provide technicalguidance, and assist with capturing all necessary business, functional andtechnical requirements necessary to design and implement the solution
  • Collaborate with BusinessFunctional team members to write/estimate stories
  • Oversee developers’ work, and ownoverall quality and delivery of development
  • Capable of executing hands-ondevelopment for stories that cannot be delegated
  • Responsible for sprint demos,delivery of additional development artifacts and documentation, and knowledgetransfer activities as required
  • Work collaboratively withEngagement Manager to monitor for scope creep and resolve critical path technicalissues and challenges
  • Provide mentorship to developersand platform engineers on technical design standards and best practices
  • Proactively maintainexpert knowledge and understanding of the latest ServiceNow platform andproduct offerings
  • Maintain expert knowledge of theServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Products; Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management,Orchestration, Cloud Management, including ServiceNow Common Service Data Model
  • Assist pre-sales team with scopingservice engagements typically involving ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB products andcomplex integrations with client applications/systems
  • Research partner or vendorsolutions to advise on optimal tools for integrations to meet clientrequirements
  • Contribute to the continualimprovement of Delivery processes and the maturing of the ITOM / CMDB practice.
  • Diligently and accurately trackand record all time and keep calendar up-to-date with scheduled activities
  • Other duties and responsibilitiesas assigned


What you’ll bring to the table:


  • Proven consulting experience as akey technical resource leading the development and delivery of ITOM / CMDBsolutions in client environments
  • Expert level proficiency in ITOM /CMDB produce line including current ITOM / CMDB CIS certification(s)
  • Knowledge of ITIL, minimumfoundation level, ideally higher.
  • Experience with key technologiesrelevant to ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, WebServices, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, SOAP, SCP, FTPS
  • Experience with scripting in theServiceNow platform using JS: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UIPages, Angular JS, Jelly, etc.
  • Ability to listen,interpret, strategize and consult on complex business processes and technicalconcepts
  • Demonstrated ability to influenceand consult with clients, translating technical strategies to business outcomesand business outcomes to technical strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,customer centric attitude, and situational awareness
  • Outstanding verbal, written andpresentation skills
  • Proven team player and teambuilder
  • Strong ownership, accountability,and attention to detail in all work efforts
  • Superior maturity,professionalism, and judgment; ability to excel with minimum supervision
  • Experience with SDLC processesimplementing in a variety of project methodologies: waterfall, iterative, SAFe,Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time


Education, Certifications And/orExperience Qualifications

  • 3+ years working on the ServiceNowplatform
  • Degree or equivalent, preferablyin Computer Science or Information Technology
  • ServiceNow Certified SystemAdministrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow CertifiedImplementation Specialist for one or more of the ITOM / CMDB products
  • ServiceNow pre-salesaccreditations in multiple product lines (ITOM / CMDB)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years working on the ServiceNowplatform or 8+ years of Industry experience
  • Working knowledge of IT OperationsManagement and CMDB Processes (Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping,CMDB/CSDM, Cloud Management, Orchestration)
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
