Overview: Illuminate Mission Solutions seeks exceptionally qualified Senior Software Engineer in support of a DIA contract.

This position is for The Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (IC SCC) Program; which is a Federal Cyber Center with a mission to ensure the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintaining awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements; Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components; Designs, implements, and integrates software applications or performs software engineering tasks; Utilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment; Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes; Mitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projects; Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. The candidate shall: Perform tasks of senior level technicians; work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team; Oversee and monitor performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues; Provide expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Direct multiple contractor and subcontractors’ teams through to project completion; maintain DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order; hold applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task orderQualifications:
Preferred, experience with AWS to include EC2, RDS, and S3 services, experience with GitHub, experience with coding in accordance with NIST 800-53 and working through the RMF process, experience working in an Agile environment a plus (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket).
A Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of industry experience preferred; or a High School Diploma plus 8 years experience, an Associate's Degree plus 6 years experience, a Master's Degree plus 2 years experience, or a PHD.
