Job Description
Frontier communications is seeking a Senior Project Specialist to join our Commercial Sales Operations team. The ideal candidate will manage the implementation of large, complex solutions. Solutions may include equipment and network projects involving multiple service locations. The Specialist’s decisions and actions are critical to the realization of financial, operational, and marketing objectives and strategies. The Project Specialist 's mission is to manage projects to completion on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations and quality standards that deliver consistently superior services to customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Defines project scope through detailed planning; identifies total impact on internal organization/processes, including internal impact of multiple projects on core resources, establishes project team, project objectives and responsibilities, identifies dependencies, assesses potential risks, and establishes schedule for implementation.
  • Role will require Project Specialist to “write” and create orders in Frontier’s provisioning system when automation cannot support
  • Develops project plans or spreadsheets, responsibility matrix, secures resource commitments, and establishes acceptance criteria and plan.
  • Works in partnership with customer to establish communication plan and expectations.
  • Provides period updates to projects to sales and service team members and leaders.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with team members, vendors, contractors, and other departments throughout project planning and implementation.
  • Manages implementation of project against committed schedule, coordinating team members and vendors/contractor efforts. Ensures projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Develops and fosters others’ development of processes, methods, procedures, job aids, etc. to continually move toward consistent “best practices” and uniform corporate standards.
  • Improve operating efficiencies and delivery of continuous improvements in quality of maintenance and services delivered to customers.
  • Records all accountability activities by department and lead team members in MS Project/Teams – if/when applicable
  • Assures completion and acceptance and transfer of responsibility to other departments and official release of billing appropriately based on agreement.
  • Maintain a single point of contact to the customer providing status via scheduled meetings, phone calls & emails with attached documents
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously


REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and Visio.
  • Customer driven and a team player, with strong interpersonal and customer interface skills including “influence management” and “conflict resolution”.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, process and detailed oriented, a self-starter who is highly motivated to obtain goals/results.
  • Candidate must excel in communication/presentation skills, both oral and written, and tailor communication to various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts
  • Must be able to work and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment while coordinating multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise project documentation
  • Effectively manages client expectations and escalations
  • Ability to work either independently and/or as part of a larger team.
  • Ability to think logically in solving assigned problems and to present recommendations with clarity in written and graphic form.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills including team building, coaching and mentoring


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years as a Project Manager
  • Telephony knowledge including data networks, internet protocol and networking
  • Ability to learn and understand complicated technical concepts
  • A thorough understanding of project management principles, sufficient to manage large projects.
