Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a passionate design professional (architect, engineer, or landscape architect) to support our growing portfolio of projects with the National Park Service (NPS) and other U.S Department of Interior agencies. We are open to nationally located candidates. We are seeking an individual with a strong sustainable design philosophy, experience in infrastructure design in sensitive park environments, and direct experience in delivering design projects managed by the NPS Denver Service Center (DSC). This individual would be part of Stantec’s NPS program management team and help to manage our growing portfolio of NPS projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team in helping deliver design projects under existing contracts with the NPS
  • Support the NPS program team to develop statement of qualifications and price proposals
  • Ensure quality control, health and safety and sustainability requirements and procedures are identified and followed throughout a project's life cycle.
  • Serve as project manager or design lead on individual design projects
  • Be a technical advisor on NPS requirements and the DSC A-E Workflows
  • Limited travel would be expected for site visits and workshops

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstrated experience working on park infrastructure design projects managed by the DSC or NPS regional offices
  • Strong understanding of the NPS’s mission, management policies, and DSC A-E workflows
  • Experience with universal design and accessibility including requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards
  • Experience addressing climate change in project designs
  • Demonstrated high quality technical writing skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Project or program management experience

Education and Experience

  • BS or BS/MS in architecture, engineering, landscape architecture or related design field
  • Professional licensed architect, engineer, or landscape architect
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of infrastructure in sensitive park environments
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program or project management
  • LEED certification in good standing, preferred
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred

  • Hiring Salary Range: $180,300 - $229,900 — Colorado locations only. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
