Role:

As a Senior Product Manager for Search Experience in the Observability group, you will help drive the roadmap for the first version of the next-generation Logs experience. Each user journey within the Observability Suite is unique, so, understanding and identifying the points of friction from a user's perspective is critical to the experience we are looking to build.

You will work closely with outstanding Engineering teams, Product Managers, Architects, Designers and Product Marketing teams to build the new Logs experience. You will collaborate with nearly every other product within the Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solid understanding of our key personas - DevOps, ITOps, Service Owners, SRE, Platform Teams - to drive the product roadmap.
  • Build a strong product vision and strategy for the next-gen Logs experience beyond v1.
  • Deep technical understanding of how logs are ingested, parsed, stored, and searched and use this knowledge to reduce the complexity for users.
  • Get-things-done. Execute. This means being constantly biased towards action, knowing the data, being in the details, setting a high bar and building strong collaborative relationships with other teams, thinking boldly, disambiguating, always thinking of the customer first and rapidly iterating towards something demonstrably awesome
  • Lean on data. Splunk is a data-to-everything-platform. So, strong-preference to rely on data to make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS applications; bonus if those were monitoring or data analytics products
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field + MBA from a top-tier program
  • Knack for gleaning user/customer insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Prior knowledge of Splunk a plus.
