Senior Oracle DBA

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for Apex to support our budgeting/financial application deployed in the Oracle APEX environment.

We will be providing some training on the Oracle APEX database schema/environment to bring the DBA up to speed on the database environment deployed to the Oracle 12c/19c databases

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the release management lifecycle for projects and tasks
• Develop knowledge of the program's software and hardware footprint capabilities across multiple environments. Understand how individual components effect the cloud enterprise.
• Create and manage a release process which adheres to security policies and procedures and fits with the agile mission needs of the customer
• Understand how to onboard new mission areas or functionality into the cloud enterprise.
• Collaborate with team leads to plan and manage task delivery requirements across multiple task orders
• Update stakeholders on deployment status concerning schedule, issues, blockers, risks and mitigations.
• Coordinate pre-deployment and post-deployment activities such as deployment checklists, retrospectives lessons learned feedback
• Development and maintenance of program deployment and release flow diagrams

Required Skills:

• Clearance: Top Secret
• Typically requires BS degree and 12 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 13 years of prior relevant experience.
• Candidate must have experience with both development and production support of Oracle database in a large enterprise environment
• Must have experience with query optimization and working with technical and management teams to keep the database fully functional.
• DBA will also be responsible for supporting STIG'ing of database and responding to production level issues quickly.
• DBA will also be responsible for upgrading database as new versions are made available.
• DBA should have some experience with Oracle 12c and 19c versions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Service+
• Experience with cloud-based architectures
• Familiar with cross domain architectures at various levels
• Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
