Senior Network Engineer

The Lead Network Engineer will be a member of the engineering and sustainment team, primarily supporting the administration, maintenance, and management of route / switch technologies.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing, deploying, administering, and maintaining enterprise networks, including servers, routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, storage networks, remote access systems, and network management systems
• Monitoring network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission
• Resolve complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms
• Configure communication media with routers, switches, firewalls and other devices

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Six plus (6+) years experience with the following:
  • Design and implementation experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade technologies, for routing, switching, load balancing, storage IP services, DNS, etc.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and test network systems including both local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), including IPS, packet capture, and system logging tools and utilities
  • Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Virtual Private Network (VPN), HTTP, Secure Socket Shell (SSH), SSL, and DNS
• Secret with ability to obtain TS clearance required
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or higher)

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• In addition to the skills above, a Juniper (JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-DevOps, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-SEC), or equivalent certification would be a plus

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE AN ACTIVE DoD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WHICH YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN, HOWEVER CANDIDATES MAY START WITH A SECRET CLEARANCE
