Senior Logistics Consultant - Freight Forwarding Sales

What we’re looking for:

OEC Group is one of the largest freight forwarding firms in the US and we’re looking to add a Senior Logistics Consultant to our team. They must also have experience selling in the freight forwarding / ocean import industry. As a Senior Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing relationships with customers and generating new business.
• Forming a customer base by cold calling, issuing quotes, preparing bids and making formal presentations to prospective customers.
• Soliciting OEC Group's services which include Ocean Import, Air Import, Ocean Export, Air Export, Distribution & Warehousing, LTL Transportation and Cargo Insurance and Customs Brokerage.
• Responsible for meeting the monthly quotas given by Sales Upper Management.
• Assisting the Accounts Receivable Department with tracking payments from customer base.
• Maintaining constant communication with the Operations/Customer Service Departments and overseas offices.

Qualifications:

Currently working in logistics with at least three years of experience in the freight forwarding industry. Ability to work independently is also crucial to the position.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
