Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

The Senior Business Analyst is accountable for building and managing relationships with our customers, end users, business teams, and technical teams for small to medium scale projects. They are responsible for eliciting requirements, crafting user stories, and representing them to the Enterprise Solutions Delivery and Enterprise Sustain Services teams throughout the systems development cycle. In addition, they will lead requirements capturing and documentation for medium to large projects with increasing complexity.

Major Responsibilities
  • Project coordination & execution role for Plan and Define as part of the System Development process
  • Development of business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlogs
  • Partners with business to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and application is successfully transitioned to production
  • Increased understanding of business issues and data challenges of the business
  • Serves as the requirements' liaison between the business community and the IT teams
  • Coordinates with Business on Problem and Incident Management
  • Coordinates project business value/return on investment analysis
  • Supports IT Strategy Development
  • Identifies business strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement
  • Makes recommendations on what projects should be pursued
  • Perform research on new ideas / initiatives the organization may want to pursue
  • Assists with coordination & representation for Change Requests (CRs)
  • Assists with identifying/selecting the best talent. Responsible for advising and prioritizing work, handling performance, and providing mentorship / coaching to team members. Leads the culture within their team, holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and build a winning culture.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Software Testing across the entire test lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of test methodologies and process implementation experience
  • Experience in test automation development, CI/CD tools, practices, and methodologies
  • Innovative and strategic thinking to act and create positive change
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with driving a test automation strategy (bonus)
  • Java or .Net programming experience (bonus)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps / TFS
  • Automated Testing (Selenium)
