The Job

As part of Tango Card's Learning Experience team, you will get to work on cool projects like:

  • Build and maintain interactive learning experiences to support key onboarding, leadership development, and company-wide ongoing initiatives.
  • Establish the branding standards and define UX/UI for Tango Card University, and
  • Create and maintain courses, videos, images and assets, and performance support documentation.

Who you are:

  • Passion for developing people - You must share a passion for Tango Card's mission of "Growing Great People" and helping to transform and empower our culture one interaction at a time.
  • Strong Graphics and Creative Skills - We want you to drive the creative branding for the team. This includes creating style guides, branding, courseware templates, learning portal UI, etc.
  • eLearning & Multimedia Savvy - You will create and maintain learning assets to support both online and in-class modalities. Video production skills are a plus as we strive to move beyond last decade's eLearning!
  • Technical Writing Skills - You should have no problem writing, from wiki articles to learner content, you must be adept at capturing learning content and distilling complex ideas into easily digestible materials.
  • Teamwork - This goes without saying. There's a lot of work on the horizon and this team is forging new territory. We need someone who will bring fresh ideas and is just as comfortable challenging the team to raise the bar as they are knowing when to compromise.

Reports To: Director, Learning Experience
As the Sr. Instructional Technologist at Tango Card, in addition to the cool work listed above, you will:

  • Develop course outlines, documentation, and assessment strategies.
  • Maintain instructional design direction and development through all phases of the content development process.
  • Design, build instructionally sound (ADDIE; AGILE) learning journeys, courses, programs and other educational assets (e.g. video; ILT, web courses, and virtual experiences) that promote the development of skills and abilities.
  • Analyze and evaluate the integrity and audience appropriateness of instructional approach, which include learning objectives, materials, and intended delivery methodology.
  • Filter and prioritize incoming training and learning requests, scope the project, create a delivery timeline, and work collaboratively to determine the best method for delivering the training.
  • Conduct learning assessment/gap analysis to determine the appropriate scope, audience, and most effective learning interventions to support Tango Card's operating principles and competencies.
  • Design curriculum for multiple modalities (e.g. ILT and vILT) sessions using creative, innovative, and evidence-based approaches; develop storyboards for e-learning and videos.
  • Facilitate learning solutions (e.g. ILT, webinars, vILT, etc.).
  • Develop dynamic, experiential learning based on content, and training scripts.
  • Produce best-in-class blended learning materials, including print, web-based courseware, gamification, micro-learning, social, etc.
  • Utilize virtual and web-based solutions (e.g. tools and resources) fostering the development of online based learning programs, including Adobe Captivate and Camtasia.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to bring expertise to design, develop and implement courses and other instructional resources.
  • Employ assessment and evaluative instruments to ensure the measurement of impact using industry standard criteria.
  • Evaluate and analyze participant feedback and key metrics within a specific program or content areas to measure the effectiveness of deliverables in meeting business goals; and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, JIRA) to funnel intake requests and maintain learning and development roadmap.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To be effective in our Sr. Instructional Technologist role, you must have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • Six (6+) years of professional Instructional Design experience creating technical and soft skills training
  • Experience designing training outside of an academic setting. We are looking for candidates with matrix, corporate environment experience. Bonus points if you have FinTech in your background!
  • Experience with Camtasia, Captivate, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Skilled in creating learning content using Adobe Creative Suite - Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop, Audition
  • Skilled in creating learning videos using video creation tools such as Camtasia, and After Effects
  • Ability to use Google Suite
  • Skilled in Learning Management administration
  • Skilled in developing learning using current eLearning standards: AICC, SCORM, xAPI
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in time management and prioritization
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to partner with operations and business leaders to align learning objectives with expected business outcomes
  • Skilled in optimizing learning technologies that help us scale
  • Skilled in embedding data collection and feedback mechanisms throughout our learning solutions to generate data-driven, actionable insights
  • Skilled in analyzing performance data to determine performance and learning objectives that deliver expected business

Our ideal Sr. Instructional Technologist at Tango Card will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design/Technology, Education, Human Resources, or related field
  • Experience with innovative design modalities (workflow learning tools, Vyond, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience using productivity tools such as Confluence, Slack, Jira, Monday.com, etc.
  • Experience with gamification, micro-learning, blended learning, and performance support
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, and Javascript
