Job Description
Summary:

This position works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. This position is responsible for troubleshooting issues, repairing malfunction of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as Extruders, Dryers, Mixers, Feeders, Pelletizers, Compressors, Pumps and etc.
  • Repairs or replaces control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push-buttons, contactors, motor starters, thermocouples, etc., as needed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and notes entries on Cebos.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists production team members in solving work problems.
  • Troubleshoot and view programs to PLC’s.
  • Tests proper operation of equipment.
  • Performs basic carpentry, light plumbing, and other trades as may be required to support the facility.
  • Initiates purchase orders.
  • Performs/inspects work repairs for maintenance work orders submitted by staff.
  • Able to set up and operate welder, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metal working equipment.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Manages contractors.
  • Manages projects.
  • Writes/updates work instructions.
  • Initiates Engineering Change Orders
  • Performs Safety Training
  • May be called on during off-shift for emergency break downs.
  • Fulfills all work functions in accordance with established work instructions, ISO policies and company safety policies
  • Must follow OSHA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Good computer skills are required.
Excellent electrical, electronic and mechanical skills are required.
Knowledge of AC-DC drives systems and pneumatics

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of an Associate’s degree in electronics is preferred.
Technical school training a plus.
2-5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment desired.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.
