As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Director, Business Transformation - Field Engineering. This position increases Field Engineering value by activating the UL Transformation strategy for Field Engineering, execute digitization of Field Engineering and transform how Field Engineering delivers existing business solutions. This role also owns change management and adoption within the business, and collaborating across the enterprise, while fostering a winning culture.What youâll learn & achieve::
  • Execute Field Engineering Transformation Strategy and own the Change Management plan execution
  • Develop and lead strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan for continuous improvement of tools and processes within field, involving high levels of business stakeholder engagement to streamline related business processes and reduce complexity
  • Collaborate with Customer Operating Unit (COU) leaders and functions to understand business opportunities, prioritize demand, and identify/implement supporting application capability
  • Champion and lead the development digitalized business solutions that positively impact customer value and UL’s differentiation for Field based services. This includes working closely with the One UL Digital team on new SaaS opportunities
  • In close collaboration with Process Excellence and Customer Transformation teams develop field engineering application platforms and support, optimizing outcomes through project oversight, strategic spend management, and leadership of day-to-day application support
  • Own the execution of the “Know Your Customer” data gathering plan that will be the basis for driving a deeper understanding of our global customer base
  • Own the development and management of critical business operations tools and other technology enabled business processes
  • Establish and maintain governance processes to prioritize requests in the demand funnel and discretionary spend
  • Champion an engaged, inclusive and attractive work environment for UL employees with a winning culture
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement financial targets for Field Engineering
  • Manage financial forecasting and budget
  • Understand key challenges and processes within Field Engineering
  • Lead the day-to-day operations to execute, achieve key performance indicators while maintaining alignment on the company’s longer-term strategic goals
  • Provide support and direction for specific challenges that have major impact on the business
  • Provide continuous improvement metrics to field leadership
  • Collaborate with I&T and functions to drive an aligned execution plan.

What makes you a great fit::
  • At least 5 years experience in a senior leadership position in IT, Software Development or Business Transformation
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Platforms
  • Experience in having developed and deployed SaaS solutions
  • Experience with complex system architecture, products, and services
