How you’ll make an impact:
The Sr. Director, Application Development will be responsible for management of the architecture, design, and development phases of the SDLC for the Identity Management systems (IDM). The position will provide vision, leadership and management to application development teams and will be responsible for developing and maintaining standards as well as driving architectural solutions and system design across multiple applications. Activities encompass the delivery of new projects as well as on-going maintenance and support. Responsible for delivering value to SiriusXM through solution design and delivery, roadmap, and supporting an Application Infrastructure Services vision and roadmap. The goal is to ensure that the solutions and services delivered by AppDev meet both business and technical objectives and are aligned with the long-term technology roadmap.
What you’ll do:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of application development projects and ensure robust use of best-in-class methodology and tools for application design and development of identity management and IoT applications.
• Hire and manage a team of highly skilled application designers and developers.
• Ensure alignment of IDM applications with company goals and strategies, managing performance to objectives.
• Manage application development plans. Communicate and coordinate plans, risks, and status to business clients and supporting IT functions.
• Maintain and enhance the identity management portfolio, including both custom developed and licensed products.
• Provide direction, vision, deployment and management for the IDM applications.
• Manage cooperative relationships across IT and business functions with respect to systems, projects, processes, and teams.
• Responsible for implementing and enforcing data security measures.
• Oversee contractor performance and effectiveness to maximize our ROI.
• Responsible for effective integration with all partner teams and processes.
• Impact assessment and estimation of changes required to support ongoing projects.
• Responsible for branching and merging code streams at appropriate points in time.
• Responsible for tracking actual development effort against estimated development effort.
• Responsible for quarterly and year end evaluations
• Assist mentoring junior level talent on design process and methodology.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Application Design, Development with knowledge of identity management and subscriber billing systems.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in managing teams.
• Working knowledge of Agile or other suitable methodologies
• Strong AWS experience with ALBs, ECS, Route53, Aurora RDS
• Experience with LDAP and SQL databases
• Release Management (CVS, Git, SVN), Artifactory, Continues Integration, Jenkins, Ansible
• Proficiency Developing Function/Technical Designs
• Expert in cloud architecture, Docker
• Software Security and compliance, Vault
• Oauth, SAML experience required.
• Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and confluence preferable
• Experience working with Atlassian BitBucket preferable
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Comfortable dealing with both business marketing, technical, and security perspectives.
• Ability to create high quality development teams.
• Extensive experience with all aspects of SDLC management.
• Proven track record in developing high quality applications.
• Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design.
• Knowledge in identity management development and support.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with customer-facing applications
• Development and support of B2B, B2C, B2E, and B2D (IoT) identity applications
• Experience with high volume, high-availability applications.
