Job Description

Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our Beverly Hills, California office.


The HSBC West Coast team works with corporates that hold a global footprint. The Global Relationship Manager (GRM) is the face of the Bank in our market; their role is to work directly with the management teams of our corporate clients and develop a deep understanding of their corporate strategies. In this role, the successful candidate will have a Specialized Industries focus; developing knowledge, expertise and networks across some of the Bank’s select growth sectors.

We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple internal & external stakeholders at any one time. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate;

  • Experience of working with international companies
  • A client focused mindset with a “can do” attitude
  • Outstanding business development skills, with proven experience of identifying product opportunities and seeing them through to a successful implementation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build long term workplace relationships
  • Ability to lead deal teams and inspire junior staff
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects & engagements
  • Ability to build strong external networks that facilitate new business development
  • Credit underwriting knowledge and experience
  • Strong corporate banking product knowledge across Treasury/Cash Management, Foreign Exchange and Trade Finance
  • An understanding of investment banking products across Advisory and Debt & Equity Capital Markets
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes

The GRM role can be performed at our offices in Northern or Southern California.
