What You’ll Be Doing and the Impact You’ll Make:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the professional services industry (Technology Consulting or Digital Agency experience would be a plus!) and have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Data Privacy Agreements, Change Orders, Subcontractor Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Partnership Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreements, (NDAs), and other contracts that arise in day-to-day business. This role will require you to work closely with stakeholder at all levels of the company providing advice on legal risks and business strategies. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, and an advanced understanding of standard commercial contract terms and conditions is a must.

Reporting to Rightpoint’s General Counsel, the Senior Counsel will work with the GC and key internal stakeholders to support Rightpoint. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Review and negotiate complex business/technology agreements
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers and internal team on contractual matters. Act as contract liaison between Rightpoint stakeholders and customer, ensuring timely review and responses.
  • Provide redlined recommendations on all standard and nonstandard contracts, negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff as needed.
  • Assess and mitigate risk. Advise team regarding legal risks and actively proposes and implements risk mitigation options
  • Assist in developing and maintaining template agreements, legal review process and records.
  • Become a trusted legal advisor by establishing relationships across Rightpoint’s business units.
  • Assist the GC in managing outside counsel and work on special projects as they arise from time to time.
  • Provide ongoing education and training for business team on best practices regarding relevant legal matters.
  • Work as a strategic partner and decision maker with senior leadership and manage work independently.


What We’d Love To See:

  • At least five (5) years work experience as an attorney, either at a law firm or as an in-house attorney, with progressive, relevant experience negotiating technology agreements.
  • Law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and member in good standing of at least one State Bar Association.
  • Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Experience with employment law, intellectual property, litigation/dispute resolution, a plus.

  • Understanding of the basic principles of Accounting, Finance, and Marketing.

  • Creative problem-solver who can take a leadership role in negotiations and resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and practical ways.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to assess and articulate complex and legal issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate collaboration by cultivating relationships and effectively communicating and collaborating with internal leadership and teams.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
