Job Description
Audacious Inquiry is seeking an experienced, organized accountant with a go-getter attitude to support Financial Operations, Financial Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis.   • Coordinate with Bookkeeper to ensure appropriate recording of accounting transactions
  • Own, under the direction of the Controller, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes including revenue recognition, job/project cost accounting, coordinating with Bookkeeper on client invoicing, recording of payroll, cash receipts and disbursements
  • Maintain fixed assets and software capitalization schedule
  • Produce monthly financial package and assists in creation of materials for inter-departmental, executive and board financial reviews
  • Assemble schedules and support for audit, tax and other third party reviews and reporting
  • Take major role in accounting system evaluation and transition
  • Aid in the fulfillment of business administration and government contracting requirements
  • Manage the timekeeping process for proper time capture and cost allocation
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and assist in budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Complete other operational, financial, and/or organizational support duties as assigned
  • Reports to Controller and receives direction from CFO
Requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a staff accountant or financial operations role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, including ASC 606
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in Quickbooks Online or other accounting software
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliability and flexibility
  • Organizational skills
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude and the ability to problem solve
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with other team members, vendors, customers, partners and other professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active CPA
  • Public accounting experience
  • Background in accounting for SaaS / technology companies
  • Experience with government contracting
  • General knowledge of BI Tool (Tableau or PowerBI, e.g.)
