Bluestar Security officers are known for their superior level of customer service and professionalism in the industry. Our Security Officers provide a custom tailored service to meet the needs of our clients. Successful candidates will provide a variety of services which are site specific including: Access control, Asset protection, Occupational First Aid services, and any other services specific to the needs of the client. We are looking for a professional full time experienced guard for at least 40 hours a week, 12 hour day or night shifts available.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have high integrity and ethical standards.
• Must have a functional Smart Cell phone.
• Must have excellent attendance and professionalism.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must have reliable motor vehicle transportation.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be an enthusiastic team player.
• Must be willing to learn.
• Must have written and oral communication skills to be able to write daily incidents reports.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be available on Federal Holidays, holiday pay applies.
• Must wear the uniform provided.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Other requirements and job duties may apply:

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (days/nights/weekends).
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills.

JOB DUTIES:

As a Security Guard you will be responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, shops, warehouses, etc. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing private property, and responding to emergency and non-emergency situations. Your main objective will be to identify and deter and report illegal activity. This job requires working indoors and outdoors for long periods of time. Your ability to verbally and professionally enforce the client's policies is critical.

Specific duties might include but are not limited to:

• Watching for and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations;

• contacting emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.

• Cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at the property and providing specialized security services according to client needs.

• Offer support to any person at the site in need of assistance.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Must have or be able to obtain a WA Security Guard card
• Successfully conduct security patrols without direct supervision.
• Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations.
• Write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records using effective communication skills.
• Detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
• Have basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviours, and non-defensive communication.
• Follow and enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
• Handle private and confidential information with a high amount of discretion.
• Present a professional image to the public.
• Adhere to our Code of Ethics in performing job requirements.
• Adapt to a variety of environmental factors while performing exterior patrols.
• Moderate physical activity including standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
