Second Shift Dispatcher

Barr-Nunn Transportation Inc., is currently seeking a Second Shift Dispatcher. Please see below for job duties. Main Job Responsibilities:

Field incoming calls from drivers and relay information as may be required to include load requirements to drivers. If these calls require communication with other work areas, then insure this communication occurs

Communicate necessary information to the day shift operations personnel to include potential service issues/concerns

Track loads as may be requested by day shift personnel - Communicate to customers as may be required to inform them of changes in ETA's, etc. Completion of service reports as maybe required - Entering directions and pertinent customer information as may be require

File/match-up on road repairs

Coordinate on road break-downs

Assist drivers with HazMat, O, S & D, and minor accidents

Special duties

Education and Experience

High school diploma

1-2 years in transportation

Skills and Personal Characteristics

Good interpersonal skills

Good written and verbal skills

Knowledge of the United States

Computer skills

Knowledge with hours of service and DOT Regulations

Able to work without supervision

Flexible - Dependable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour
