About the OpportunityThe Information Technology Services (ITS) Demand and Portfolio Management department has an immediate opening for a Project Manager / Scrum Master at the Senior or Advanced level, reporting to the Manger, Demand and Portfolio Management.
In your role, you will provide expertise and direction on small to large-scale complex IT or technology-based projects, offering varying levels of project management oversight, and directly influencing activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close. You will be a single point-of-contact for and work with all areas affected by projects and use industry-standard best practices to assure delivery of project goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables, and compliance with all project management processes. You also may direct work of matrixed teams.
What You Will Do
  • Facilitate intake and own work execution of technology-based architecture team members with inputs from customer, IT leadership, Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate prioritization, resource allocation, capacity, and assignments by working closely with stakeholders.
  • Apply agile frameworks and best practices like SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban to manage architecture backlog.
  • Clear impediments for the team and communicate risks, issues, and organizational impediments to leadership.
  • Facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies such as PI ceremonies, sprint ceremonies, scrum of scrums, summits and working sessions.
  • Ensure a healthy continuous improvement environment.
  • Provide communication and reporting to stakeholders on current health, areas for support and plans for improvement.
  • Manage innovation portfolio, including pipeline of initiatives from concept through disposition and communicates initiative and portfolio status.
  • Own and/or support presentation & narrative (story telling) of technical concepts, recommendations, alternatives to a diverse set of stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • PMP, Scrum, and Agile certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to all audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful operating in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to ask probing questions, identify unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise of Project/Agile methodologies and industry best practices to lead high performers who work individually as well as a cohort.
  • Strategic with execution skills by applying a lean-agile mindset to maximize value of Architects skills, time & capacity.
  • Excellent facilitation skillset with ability to connect dots and understand interdependencies.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Agile tools like Version 1, Jira is preferred.

  • The hiring range for the Project Manager- Senior is $95,400 - $119,200 annually.
  • The hiring range for the Project Manager- Advanced is $106,600 - $133,300 annually.
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.
