The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring staff are scheduled and client's and staff are matched properly. BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara is looking for self-driven, experienced professional who has a passion for helping others, is very detailed oriented, and excellent communicator (both verbal and written). The hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday - with some flexibility, some weekday and every third weekend after hours on-call availability. Core Responsibilities
Assists with answering the phones, including the intake of new clients and informs potential clients of our services and reasons to utilize BrightStar over other agencies

Assist with the scheduling and care coverage – supports and uses all technology tools and resources to ensure proper business processes; schedules staff to meet client care needs and minimize non-billed overtime; ensures assigned staff are properly trained and available as needed
Works on a team responsible for scheduling caregivers and communicating with clients

Assist in the field, when needed

Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws


Requirements

Good time management skills A MUST

Minimum of 1 years administrative experience, with at least six months scheduling experience preferred - not required

Excellent communication skills required
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations

Great organization, planning, and creative thinking skills required

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, detail-orientated tasks, simultaneously while maintaining accuracy

Ability to communicate professionally to common inquiries from caregivers, staff or clients regarding scheduling

Strong understanding of computer applications, especially database systems

Valid driver’s license; valid state required proof of auto insurance

Pass drug test and background check

Caregiving experience, preferred
