About the Brisbane Warehouse Team

The Brisbane Warehouse Team at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is responsible for maintaining product for our internal design and photo teams. We facilitate the flow of product throughout our Brisbane campus, as well as our corporate campuses in San Francisco. As part of our team you will ensure that our product is safe, secure, and accurately represented, so that our internal partners have the tools they need for success, and our customers are faced with the most aesthetically pleasing images we can provide.

Overview of the Driver/Sample Coordinator role

As part of our team you will be responsible for moving, packing, and transporting open high value furniture items with extreme care between our SF HQs to our Brisbane Warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions including, but not limited to receiving, stocking, picking, cataloging and processing returns
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as forklift and order-picker
  • Work closely with photo teams and buying groups
  • Use great communication skills to work with cross-functional teams across all brands
  • Reflect a professional demeanor with creative teams, and merchants
  • Operate a radio frequency scanning gun
  • Use system generated reports for analysis and reconciliation of inventory-related conditions
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment according to general warehousing practices and OSHA requirements
  • Utilize Williams-Sonoma's Mission, Vision and Values to govern daily activities, including guidance to other associates and departments
  • Keep work area safe and clean Perform detailed tasks with minimal errors.
  • Achieve consistency with established productivity standards
  • Engage in various other projects as assigned
  • Transport photo sample items between our SF HQs to our Brisbane Warehouse via truck
  • Move, pack, and transport open high-value furniture items with extreme care.
  • Maintain accuracy of all shipping documentation and daily driver delivery log.

Criteria

  • High School diploma
  • Basic math skills
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License
  • Clean DMV record
  • Ability to converse over a telephone
  • Ability to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 70 pounds on a limited basis
  • Familiar with working in a warehouse environment, but also able to work in an office and perform in an administrative capacity
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic PC use including email and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the Brisbane office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
