Job Description
Overview: Are you looking for a career in the beverage alcohol industry? Then come join our team at Fireside Distribution as a Sales Representative -Package. The position is responsible for maximizing the sales of supplier brands to the trade through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising and communication that enables the achievement of company and supplier objectives.Responsibilities:
  • To regularly call on established accounts within a specific territory, promoting and selling the full range of Fireside Distributing products.
  • Must have overall product knowledge, properly inventory and survey the store for sales opportunities, and have a positive, mutually productive relationship with the account.
  • Must achieve all assigned sales goals, achieve new distribution, shelf adjacencies, cold box adjacencies, and display goals.
  • Promote monthly programs and pricing, keep up with market trends and conditions, and be aware of competitive activities.
  • Sales rep should understand Fireside Distributing’s policies and procedures, keep accurate account records and route books, keep monthly and daily preplans, and understand and work accounts within the applicable delivery schedules.
  • Must be concise and accurate in taking and placing orders and assist, when necessary, in collection and special problems. Must communicate with suppliers in promoting and building their brands.
Must be on time to all meetings and be prepared with requested information. If called upon, they should actively participate in meetings.Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 6 months similar industry sales experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, task-driven, adaptable to change, diplomatic, good negotiator.
  • Possess good computer skills, be willing to take direction, and accept constructive criticism
  • Be organized, keep good records, and have good people skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must possess valid Driver’s license, with proper 100/300/100 liability insurance limits
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be licensable under the guidelines determined by the state alcohol regulations.
  • Background check (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks)
  • Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility
  • No DUI, reckless driving, or hit and run in past 5 years
  • No more than two moving violations in past three years
