Job Description

**This is an entry level position. Recent college graduates are welcome to apply. We will train the right candidates.

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales quota and account objectives. He/She will build, maintain, and expend relationship with the company’s customers. In additional, he/she will represent the company’s products, services, and solutions to customers, while managing the accounts’ planning cycle and ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met by the Company.


Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific sales targets and opportunities.
  • Present and sell company products, services, and solutions to current and potential security system integrators and distributors.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for sales matters between the Company and the customers. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Prepare sales presentations and proposals.
    • Assist with high severity issue escalations as needed.
    • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up metrics.
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship.
  • Follow up on sales leads and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including sales call activity, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including Sales Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, RMA personnel, Accounting, Logistics, Product Management, etc., in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Participate in marketing events, such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Other sales duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from accredited 4-year-colleges or universities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written.)
  • Positive work attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and learn fast.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.

Additional Information

  • This position pays a base pay plus sales commission/bonus.
  • This is a home-based position, which requires frequent travel by car and occasionally by plane.
  • We offer car allowance, cell phone allowance, stationary supply allowance, and other travel expense reimbursement.
  • Candidates are required to possess a valid driver’s license and have good driving record.
  • Prospective employees will need to complete pre-employment background check and drug screen.
