ROLE SUMMARY
Cox Business is looking for an experienced Sales Operations Analyst to support our Territory Planning and Management team with a strong technical, analytic, and problem-solving ability. The analyst will design territories for approximately 900 sales reps and sales managers. The Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for creating balanced territories, reconciling data sources for customer assignments and transactions, and providing strong technical programming support for our Territory Design team. This person will develop varied, complex, and confidential reports and processes and must be organized and detail oriented. This person must ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction. The analyst will work cross-functionally with finance to provide visibility to executive leadership on sales metrics such as market coverage, quota attainment, under-performing territories.

This individual will report to the Sr. Manager, Sales Operation. This is a critical support role which will ensure processes and communications are consistent amongst the sales ops team for Cox Business, as well as align for success within the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Territory Design
o Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Operations team members to assist in the development of periodic territory alignments and plans.
o Implement existing Rules of Engagement (ROE) through territory design and make updates as per business needs.
o Supports data collection, cleansing, and validation of customer and personnel data in preparation for territory design
o Design and optimize sales rep territories in our territory design tool, Salesforce Maps
o Develop metrics to measure and analyze the effectiveness of our territory optimization strategy, including revenue growth, churn, market coverage, quota attainment, under-performing territories.
o Complete various territory projects that support our dynamic sales team
o Optimize territories using quota information from our sales compensation tool, Xactly
  • Account Assignments
o Update account assignments in Salesforce and validate accuracy
o Research eligibility for Out-of-Footprint (OOF), multi-location and Agent clients to be reassigned accordingly
o Research New customer accounts and merge with existing customers
o Work closely with the Market Sales Directors and Management to resolve account assignment issues
o Develop, communicate and enforce all account assignment guidelines
  • Reconciling Data Sources and Reporting
o Compare customer assignments from two time periods and correct any exceptions
o Provide detailed territory design reports to Sales Managers before publishing
o On-board new sales reps on their territories
o Setup dashboards that visually show each sales rep their territory
o Maintain cases queue and resolve inquiries from the end-users
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods.
  • Provides recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assists in policy development to support change initiatives.
  • Facilitates meetings and presentations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:MINIMUM
  • 2+ years of business and/or territory design experience required
PREFERRED
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline; Master's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred
  • Salesforce, Xactly, Tableau, Excel experience highly preferred
  • Well-versed with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong skills in teamwork, communication, presentation, and time management to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
  • Sales process understanding and how data plays a key role
  • Outstanding communication, listening and interpersonal skills required
  • Self-motivated and driven individual
  • Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure with a sense of urgency while remaining focused.
