Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the ultimate goal of owning the majority market share within your assigned territory. Make use of information/data to understand market activities to identify new business leads and opportunities
  • Provide customers with insight into their operating cost, proactively upsell parts and services at Michigan CAT to lower their operating costs, and build trust with customers
  • Assist customers on financing of the purchases as well as possible rental needs to support their business growth
  • Work closely with the service department to find a solution to customer complaint issues. Understand and judge when an issue should be escalated to higher management
  • Work together with Credit Department on any collection requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to consult with customers; to understand a customer’s situation and to provide a solution
  • Ability to build a strong, lasting relationship of mutual understanding and trust
  • Understanding of the B2B Sales Model
  • Ability to break down and understand data to make sense of activities and be able to identify opportunities Experience putting together and presenting reports to both internal and external parties
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a face to-face sales function

Preferred:

  • Five or more years of sales experience selling large construction equipment or in a Financial Sales Function.
  • Bachelor's degree In Business, Communication, Sales & Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
