Job Description
Red Lion Hotel Lake Buena Vista is looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our team! We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to be a dynamic, and outgoing sales professional who recognizes the importance of direct selling, building and maintaining relationships, outside sales calls, effective prospecting, internet marketing strategies, and integration with operations.

- Provides excellent customer service to clients. Greets and directs all walk-in guests.
- Create files for definite groups and events. Distribute definite contracts to all appropriate departments (rooms, reservations, accounting)
- Completes and processes various forms such as check requests, registration forms, purchase orders, etc. as required.
- Input, review and/or retrieve information from various databases, spreadsheets and/or other programs in order to produce reports, written, correspondence and analysis.
- Maintain and stock menus and collateral and sales/wedding kits. Keep collateral well stocked in office, front desk, tasting room and for special event placement.
- Manage mail distribution as needed (stuffing envelopes, printing labels and handling special itemized packages.)
- Develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships and open communication lines to assure efficient transfer of information.
- Accurately complete distribution of BEO’s, 10-day catering report, in-house reports, change log and contracts on a daily basis using the correct office procedure.
- Maintain database for all bookings by department.
- Conduct site inspections for potential clients in absence of a manager.
- Coordinate show rooms, VIP amenities, and sales collateral requests.
- Responsible for accepting and accurately recording payments for events.
- Support team with contracts, etc., as required.
- Confer with guests and hotel department heads to plan function details such as space requirements, event location, and times of event(s).
- Coordinate client rental orders and vendors as needed.
- Respond to corporate, client, and Hotel requests in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Two to four years of related experience or equivalent required.
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computers Outlook/email, Microsoft Office
- Positive outgoing personality
