The Human Resource Manager provides support to the HR department on all personnel matters for HS projects within the continental United States (Conus) operations to include but not limited to employee relations, performance management, training, compliance and employee communications. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for HS employees
  • Provides employee relations management and assistance for managers, supervisors and employees, including conducting investigations, documentation of conversations and issues using the disciplinary action process up to and including termination of employees. Coaches managers through process.
  • Responds to employee management and corporate needs in a timely manner
  • Administers performance management program for HS management and staff members to include annual reviews, goals development plans etc.
  • Ensures affirmative action compliance in working with managers on employment actions such as transfers promotions demotions, terminations etc.
  • Responsible for identifying training needs and developing programs in partnership with operations and corporate management. May include delivery of certain courses and oversight of tracking and documenting completed training.
  • Ensures services expectations are met by on site HR team within Shared Services and resolves any outstanding concerns. Communicates that feedback to entire shared services team to affect positive change for employees and more effective and efficient operations throughout HS employees.
  • Analyzes trends related to various employee surveys to affect positive changes within the organization.
  • Support employee communication initiatives to through collaboration with corporate communications and HR team
  • Ensure Status Change Management process is adhere to thorough HHS – Locations and required documentation is archived in the proper location.
  • WIll manage HR staff on site
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or related field with 2-4 years of experience in HR
  • Excellent presentation, as well oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer, MS office products and common office equipment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (Writing, Reading and Speaking)

  • Quality control—the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certified
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • Work involves sitting, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15lbs.
