Job Description

Summary:
Provides Employee Health Services to hospital staff including but not limited to pre-employment and periodic health histories/physical assessments; care for on-the-job illnesses, injuries and exposures; and post-accident alcohol/drug screening. May provide nursing coverage and direct patient care for Center for Corporate Health program. Assists with development and implementation of developed policies and procedures relating to employee health.

Formal Education Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accredited body.
  • Valid Ohio RN License, BSN and/or COHN or COHN eligible
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio

Experience & Training Required:
  • Two (2) years current professional nursing experience in occupational/employee health preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to establish effective interpersonal relationships with patients, family members, physicians, and staff.

  • Ability to facilitate teamwork in order to accomplish the objectives of the departments.
  • Ability to maintain a collegial relationship with physician, faculty, and other health care professionals.
  • Ability to provide necessary care for patients as required by position including documentation in information system database.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant laws such as: OSHA, DOT, ADA, Ohio WC law.
  • Ability to work flexible hours
