Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care. These services further the mission of Enloe Medical Center, which is to improve the quality of your life through patient-centered care.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Must have one of the following:
  • One year acute nursing experience
  • Completion of Rural Health Preceptorship or equivalent in a NICU, Nursery or Perinatal setting
  • Completion of one year experience as a Nursing Assistant or Student Extern in a Perinatal setting

ERN Training, Competence Validation and Annual ERN Education Hours - Completion within 12 months of Hire and thereafter maintain as current (Full Time and Part Time staff only)

Desired:
  • One year clinical experience in a Special Care Nursery or NICU Unit
​​​​​​​* One year clinical experience in Critical Care
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Current CPR recognition.
  • Current NRP certification (within 1 month of hire)
  • Current STABLE certification (within 12 months of hire)
Desired:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current NRP certification upon hire
  • Current STABLE certification upon hire
  • National Certification in Low Risk Neonatal Nursing or Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (NCC)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
