Position Description: RN L&D Full-Time Nights 7p-7a
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of a school of Nursing. BSN is desirable.

Experience:

Two (2) or more years of recent Labor and Delivery preferred. One (1) year Newborn Nursery Postpartum experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current Utah Registered Nurse License or RN Compact license (required).
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification (LDRP RNs Only) preferred. Must obtain ACLS within 1 year of hire and maintain certification.
  • Current NRP preferred. Must obtain NRP within 6 months of hire and maintain certification.
  • Current STABLE preferred. Must obtain STABLE within 1 year of hire and maintain certification.
