FTE: Full-time, 1.0 (40hrs per week - 8 HOUR SHIFTS)

A day in the life.
  • Provide safe and therapeutic care and coordination of services through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and document patient's response following nursing procedures.
  • Implement unit programs to meet specific patient care needs.
  • Ensure that patients requiring seclusion and/or restraint are monitored, assessed, evaluated and humanely treated using least to most restrictive measures and that appropriate documentation of same occurs per facility policy and as governed by law.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs and provides care as needed.
  • Support a system-wide understanding of trauma prevalence, impact and trauma informed care.
  • Foster healing, hopeful, honest and trusting relationships for consumers and employees; Values consumer voice, choice and self-advocacy.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to cultural competence.

  • BSN minimum required OR or an active RN License with a signed agreement to complete the BSN within 3 years.
  • Washington State License as a Registered Nurse (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
  • Two years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred and one year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) or ability to obtain before your first day of employment.
  • Mental Health Professional as per WAC 275.55 preferred.
