Job Description


Responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and performance of a retail store including sales generation, meeting sales goals, and budgets. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Directs and monitors store operations to drive revenue growth and ensures that monthly sales, payroll, and production budgets are met and that operating expenses do not exceed budget.
  • Ensures the achievement of daily production goals for the retail store and that all merchandise has been checked by the management team against company quality standards prior to entering the sales floor.
  • Oversees the rotation of merchandise and pull schedule by a trained member of the store team.
  • Demonstrates and ensures excellent customer service and handles all customer/donor complaints fairly.
  • Oversees the donation process and ensures that good customer service is maintained in order to drive increased donations.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of store personnel, as well as for administering disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Trains employees on use of cash register systems, safety procedures, and all other retail-related procedures, as necessary.
  • Responsible for timely submission of all required reports, including payroll-related documents, transportation needs, labor needs, sales reports, performance evaluations and other personnel-related documentation.
  • Ensures the appropriate handling of donated assets and monies involved in store operations, including handling daily deposits, banking, and change.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years related manager or supervisor experience.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check.
  • Ability to manage aspects of retail store as well as donation/inventory control.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with both large groups and individual focus.
  • Proven track record to increase sales in a retail setting.

Additional Information
  • Beginning salary is $45,000 per year.
  • Some travel required.
