We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the Mountainside Team!

What You’ll Do

The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be responsible for patient assessment, respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, arterial puncture and sample analysis, and point-of-care testing.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Must be able to assess and interpret data about patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the specific patient group
  • Perform invasive / non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, respiratory medication administration and oxygen therapy
  • Serve as educator and resource person to develop and facilitate educational activities for the patients, families, health care team and the community
  • Work in a team environment with all other members of the healthcare team to provide patient centered care. Works closely with other disciplines to define an individualized problem list and interventions
  • Administer treatment modalities and aerosolized medications to patients
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned
Responsibilities:

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 1 year of respiratory care experience
  • Licensed by the State of NJ Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Valid NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Therapist program AAS preferred
