Position Description:

The responsibility of Resourcing is to manage the deployment of the business unit’s consultants. The Resource Coordinator provides resourcing and administrative support to Resource Managers as they suggest and place consultants on assignments, considering their skills, experience, capability, availability, circumstances, and personal development while balancing the client and the business unit’s needs.

This is a central role within our firm that involves regular contact with the business unit’s management team, the consultants and Partners, the wider Resourcing team, and Corporate functions (HR, Finance, Business Support, etc.). The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, moving at the pace of our clients’ needs.

The role requires someone who understand the sense of urgency that is synonymous with consulting. This is a fast-paced role where consultants are highly utilized and may frequently work on multiple projects in client driven, results oriented environment. The pressure is high to resolve resourcing demands quickly, find creative solutions and make autonomous decisions.

Responsibilities include:

Resource Management

  • Conducting resource skills searches and issuing requests across the business which can be global.
  • Issuing and responding to resource requests, internal to and external of business unit
  • Supporting the scope, rollout and implementation of firm wide resource initiatives e.g. refreshing the Skills Profile, new CV template, MyTime, Forecast Time
  • Championing of resource management policies and processes with the practice/group
  • Monitoring utilisation

Resourcing/Operations/Sales meetings

  • Attending Weekly Resourcing Operational meetings
  • Attend with Resource Manager the weekly resourcing ops /sales meetings for the Capability

Management Information

  • Weekly resource availability and OTC reports for Partners, Directors and MCs
  • Availability of business unit across resource management team
  • Weekly forecast time vs actual timecard reconciliation report

Resourcing Admin

  • Ensure forecast time is updated on time and accurately
  • Ensuring the forecast availability data is accurate
  • Ensure the resource request tracker is up to date and well-advertised
  • Provide resource cover for other RMs
  • Monitor vetting across the group
  • Data cleansing XRM

New Joiners and long-term absence returners

  • Ensure new joiners to the business unit are welcomed and all systems are up to date by:
    • Attending assessment centers to meet with possible new recruits
    • Being a key point of contact with new joiners, welcoming them and assisting with any questions they may have
    • Conducting new joiner inductions, resourcing briefings and introductions.
    • Ensuring the new arrivals have a clear understanding of the role of Resourcing and the requirements on them to support Resourcing.
  • Pen Pic and CV review and coaching to ensure in line with guidelines
  • Identifying and organising showcasing opportunities for new joiners

Relationship building

  • Developing strong relationships with the business unit management team (Partners, Directors and MCs)
  • Developing strong relationships with the business unit consulting team (Analysts, Consultant Analysts, Consultants and Principal Consultants)
  • Nurture relations and communication with others in the Resourcing team

  • Ideally we are seeking individuals who have operated in a resourcing, project management, recruitment or administrative role, or have operated in a professional services environment previously.
