POSITION SUMMARY

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled Metal & Welding Fabrication expert-level professional to join our team. This is a job that is best suited for individuals who are self-starting, self-supervised, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to grow at a dynamic company. The responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator position include fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with specifications and production schedules.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Custom fabrication and repair of metal parts onsite
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner with the normal job averaging 2-4 days
• Heavy travel involved, must be willing to travel 1-2 weeks at a time
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of welding work
• 8+ years of automotive bodywork and painting (preferred)
• Highly skilled in sheet metal repair work
• Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders
• Willingness to telecommute as necessary – upwards to 1-2 weeks at a time
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Demonstrated willingness to work with others in a team environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work outdoors (tented)
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, sit, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
• Must have unimpaired hearing
